Organizing For Creatives is a series of workshops designed for the residents and friends of Hafnar.haus. The exceptional project of Hafnar.haus provides infrastructure for gathering around 200 creative workers, which is a perfect environment to conduct workshops that aim to endorse tools for workplace organizing to individuals and accelerate solidarity and community-building processes.

Each workshop includes a presentation of a selected theoretical framework for workplace organizing (adapted for the individual needs of the Creative*), activities that help to gain a deeper understanding of the subject of the workshop, individual work, opportunities for sharing the knowledge and experiences with others, and finding suitable solutions for improving the participants' working conditions.

*The Creative here is a freelancer, an artist, a craftsperson, an academic, a designer, a programmer, a writer, a student, a person in the coming-back-to-work program, a person interested in organizing their individual work, looking for an opportunity to exchange ideas and create healthier work relations with others.

Since February 2023, we have worked together on burning issues of individual work organisation, like: defining resources, setting boundaries and work-relation rules, negotiating contracts, estimating the value of work, and planning solidarity-based actions.
